How do you plan your travel?
Although we often book tours and cruises we usually include extra days before and after the tour/cruise, and arrange flights ourselves.
Because we are also looking to book premium airline cabins on points it makes sense to book as soon as the flights are available which means we usually book outwards and return separately.
This means there is a bit of planning needed.
We use a ‘spreadsheet’ on Google Drive. . . see above for an example from our 2024 Swiss Railways Holiday.
Advantages
- By using Google Documents ‘Sharing Option’ both my wife and I can see the plan as we book various elements of our holiday.
- All the information, including ‘Booking References’ is easily available on our phones.
- Updates are easy, and instantaneous.
- Including our Email addresses and putting a printed copy in our luggage will help lost luggage get back to us.
