I frequently see lists of Items you need to take with you mention ‘Travel Irons’ or ‘Travel Steamers’.
I wonder if it is anything to do with the fact they are interested in getting kickbacks from Amazon!
We did have a travel iron around 40 years ago and after taking it with us several times and not using it . . . . it got thrown out!
Why You Don’t Need It.
- Well I reckon that 95% of the hotel rooms and cruise cabins we stop in have a full sized steam iron already in the Wardrobe.
- As far as the other 5% are concerned if you contact the reception desk they will send an iron up to your room.
- We tend to buy clothes that are ‘easy care’ and don’t need ironing.
The advantages are you save space and weight in your luggage as well as the cost of the iron.
